Kids Included is an approved professional development provider in Alberta.
Our workshops (except for the free Microlearning Series) meet the criteria for professional development funding, and/or release time funding, as outlined in the Alberta Child Care Grant Funding Guide.

We offer a variety of learning opportunities designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge and confidence of early childhood educators, teachers, and family members.
Inclusive Practices Micro-Learning
This workshop series is perfect for early childhood educators who are looking for bite-sized skills to add to their toolkit. These introductory workshops are based on the Pyramid Model, an evidence-based framework for high quality and inclusive care.
In this series, each session explores a different area of the model. Workshops take place via Zoom. Register for one workshop or all. Certificates of completion are provided for each session to all participants who attend in real time.

Inclusive Practices Workshops
This interactive online learning focuses on providing knowledge and strategies to adults who support diverse learners in the early years (for example, preschool and kindergarten).
Register for one workshop or all. Workshops take place via Zoom. Certificates of completion are provided for each session to all participants who attend in real time.
Moving and Grooving: Creating Inclusive Spaces for Movement and Gross Motor Play
Physical literacy helps all of us to have a meaningfully active lifestyle. Understanding how and why we move, with opportunities to do so in the early years, impacts a child’s learning and lifestyle as they grow. In this workshop, participants will describe the components of physical literacy and the foundations of movement; clarify why physical literacy and movement is important; and, investigate strategies for inclusive recreation—making gross motor play accessible for all children.
Think Outside the Bowl: Creating Responsive Mealtime Routines for All Children
Mealtimes can be stressful for both children and educators, but it doesn’t have to be! Drawing from multiple evidence-based frameworks, participants will gain a better understanding of typical feeding development and common challenges; as well as develop an appreciation of the complexity of feeding and how to support all children’s participation at meal times. Recognizing their role and responsibilities in creating responsive meal time routines, participants will leave with at least one strategy they can use right away to support mealtime participation in their program.
E-Learning for Access, Support and Participation Program
Our Access, Support and Participation Program (ASaP) offers professional learning, coaching and leadership development opportunities for its enrolled licensed child care centres and family dayhomes.
These learning opportunities focus on helping child care settings across Alberta create high-quality, inclusive environments for all children.
